Legal Framework — v2.6.01

The Governance of
Digital Exchange

QatarConnect facilitates ultra-high-speed connectivity throughout Qatar. Our Terms of Service are designed to ensure that the integrity of our network and the rights of our users remain as stable and permanent as the landmarks of West Bay.

01. Protocol Access

By accessing qatarconnect.qa or utilizing our fiber and 5G services, you agree to be bound by these local and international regulations. We operate 24/7/365 to maintain service parity with Qatar's Ministry of Communications (MCIT).

Binding Agreement
Doha Digital Landscape

Integrity of Operation

Services must be used primarily for residential or small business connectivity within authorized coverage zones like The Pearl or Lusail. Unauthorized reselling or "daisy-chaining" network nodes across multiple distinct villas is strictly prohibited.

03. Equipment Custody

The QatarConnect Optical Network Terminal (ONT) remains our property. Customers in Al Wakrah and surrounding areas are responsible for the physical safety of hardware against sand ingress and high-temperature exposure. We provide specialized Wi-Fi 6 router maintenance but retain rights for technical recovery.

High-end Fiber Hardware

04. Limitation

Transmission speeds are subject to environmental factors, indoor villa signal penetration, and regional network load. We do not guarantee latency for sub-sea routing beyond the GCC gateway.

SLA for West Bay Professionals

Sacrifices

Unlimited "Public" Hotspots

Operational Assumptions

"We assume all residential installations comply with Qatar Smart City building codes."

  • • Zero-tolerance for unverified IP tunneling.
  • • 99.9% Core network availability.
  • • Peak hours: 18:00 - 22:00 AST.
View Modifiers

Our stance on bandwidth throttling changes ONLY if:

  1. The CRA issues new universal directives.
  2. International bandwidth landing points (SMW5) face physical damage.
  3. A customer's household usage patterns mimic commercial resale.
Data Transmission

Fiber-optic precision for the Doha business district.

"True technology isn't just about speed; it's about the reliability of the handshake between provider and client."

— QatarConnect Compliance Board
v. The Fair Usage Balance

While many of our fiber plans are marketed with robust data ceilings, the term "Unlimited" is governing by a Fair Usage Policy. This ensures that a single high-bandwidth user (e.g., massive 8K server hosting in a private villa) does not degrade the latency for the rest of the community in areas like Msheireb Downtown.

Data prioritization is applied during regional events such as National Day to ensure emergency and essential communications remain uninterrupted.

vi. Ledger & Financial Terms

Billing cycles operate on a standard Gregorian calendar month. Payments are due within 14 days of invoice issuance. Late fees are applied as per the guidelines approved by the Qatar Central Bank for telecom operators.

Suspension Pulse

Non-payment beyond 30 days triggers an automatic soft-lock of the MAC address on our OLT servers.

Reconnection Fee

A standardized QAR 100 fee applies for physical re-enablement of fiber drops.

vii. Evolving Directives

We reserve the right to modify these terms at a moment’s notice to reflect changes in Qatari Cybercrime Prevention Law (Law No. 14 of 2014) or structural shifts in the wholesale fiber market. Continued use of QatarConnect services after such changes constitutes an "Informed Acknowledgement."

The Bottom Line

"We promise the path, not the pace of the entire internet. While QatarConnect builds the most robust digital highways in Doha, your driving style—the hardware you use, your internal wiring, and the websites you visit—remains your responsibility."

Primary Duty

Maintenance of the fiber delivery point at your property boundary.

Primary Limit

Liability for third-party service outages (Netflix, Zoom, PlayStation Network).

Venue of Choice

Any disputes arising shall be handled exclusively within the Courts of Qatar, Doha Judiciary District.

Language Protocol

This English version is provided for convenience. In case of legal discrepancy, the Arabic text registered with the MCIT prevails.
